Bmibaby has offered Easter holidaymakers a list of the top events and festivals that will be taking place across
Europe this year.
In
Paris, holidaymakers can take part in a traditional Easter egg hunt at the Galeries Lafayette shopping centre or visit the Foire du Trone, a fair that will be open throughout March and up to May 31st.
During April, the Spanish holiday hotspot of
Alicante will host the Moors and Christians Festival, which brings religion and history together in a large street carnival.
The biggest celebrations are held in the public squares of Placa Emili Sala and La Placa de Dins.
Palma in
Majorca also celebrates Easter between April 5th and 12th with Semana Santa, a week of festivities that includes a procession through the city's streets and squares.
In
Nice, the Gourd Festival is held in the Cimiez gardens from March 29th, celebrating the beginning of spring with exhibitions, music and good food.
