The tourist board of
Las Vegas has claimed that the famous city offers entertainment for fans of various sports, from darts and bowling to golf and boxing.
While the city is best-known for its high-profile boxing matches, such as the fight between Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao set to take place in May, the tourism agency said that it offers plenty to interest followers of other sports.
Mandalay Bay will play host to the Las Vegas Desert Classic between July 1st and 5th this year, a contest that was won by Brit Phil 'The Power' Taylor last year.
The Thomas Mack Center in
Las Vegas will host the Professional Bull Riders Finals from October 30th to November 8th, followed by the National Rodeo Finals from December 4th to 13th.
Another popular sport in
America, ten-pin bowling, will be celebrated at the US Bowling Congress Open Championship at the Cashman Center until July 23rd, with nearly 85,000 competitors going head-to-head at a 60-lane bowling alley.
People planning
golfing holidays can visit more than 60 courses in Las Vegas, including some designed by famous players such as Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf.
