Whale-watching returning to Iceland
Icelandair has urged travellers to pay a visit to Iceland this spring to go on whale-watching trips in the country's waters.
As well as offering opportunities to see whales, the new season also brings the bonus of long daylight hours in Iceland 14 hours in April and 17 hours in May.
Holidaymakers will therefore have plenty of time in the day to see the country's natural attractions, which include glaciers, lava fields, geysers, black-sand beaches and waterfalls.
People who take advantage of the whale-watching cruises that set off from Reykjavik will also have opportunities to see sea birds including the ever-popular puffin.
Direct flights to Reykjavik are available from Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport.
Icelandair also offers the option of accessing connections from its hub in Reykjavik to destinations in the USA including Boston, New York and Orlando.
