New movie 'to boost tourism in Palm Beach'
The new film Marley & Me starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson is set to provide a big benefit for tourism in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the local travel association.
Scheduled for release on March 11th, the movie stars Aniston and Wilson as newlyweds who take on more than they bargained for when they buy a puppy as part of their new life in south Florida.
Most of the movie was filmed in Briny Breezes, a waterfront town in Palm Beach County, which is some 50 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, 70 miles north of Miami and 150 miles south of Orlando.
The area is well-known for its luxury hotels, including a Four Seasons resort, the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach and the Brazilian Court.
Tourists can also choose from plenty of attractions to visit in the area, ranging from Palm Beach Zoo and the South Florida Science Museum to the Kravis Center for Performing Arts.
Flights to Palm Beach, Miami, Orlando and other destinations in Florida are available with US Airways, KLM, Virgin Atlantic and other carriers.
