Finnair increases flights to Tokyo
Finnair has announced that it will boost its network of flights to Tokyo for the summer season.
From June to September, the airline will operate three extra weekly flights to the Japanese capital from Helsinki, offering seven services a week in total.
The extra flights will depart from Helsinki on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with return services on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Finnair said that the additional connections will accommodate demand from the Japanese group travel market, which is at its highest in Finland and Scandinavia between the months of June and September.
The carrier also announced this week that it will offer three new return flights from Helsinki to New York City during the summer period.
A schedule has been drawn up for the new services to facilitate connections with Finnair's flights to destinations in Asia including Beijing, Delhi, Seoul and Hong Kong.
