New easyJet flights from Manchester brought forward
EasyJet has confirmed that its planned expansion from Manchester Airport is being brought forward from August to May 21st.
As part of the initiative, the airline will base a new aircraft at the north-west airport to enable increased frequencies to the popular summer destinations of Alicante, Malaga, Tenerife, Paphos and Malta.
Brand new flights will be launched to Athens and Corfu in Greece, Dalaman in Turkey and Bastia on the French island of Corsica.
Carly Brear, easyJet's UK commercial manager, said the expansion will enable more people to enjoy the "care and convenience" of flying from their local airport.
She added: "This is great news for the north-west - not only does our additional aircraft mean more jobs and more visitors to the region, but it means that customers in the north-west can now take advantage of even more of easyJet's famously low fares to the summer hotspots across Europe."
EasyJet has also confirmed that, from May 5th to June 23rd, it will provide two extra weekly flights to Palma de Majorca from Glasgow Airport.
