A new priority lane has been opened at
Luton Airport providing direct access to the security checkpoint.
The facility has been designed to create an "executive lounge" feel to the travel experience and cater for passengers who want the quickest possible route to security, the airport revealed.
Travellers can either buy tickets for the priority lane from Luton Airport's website or purchase them for £3 from kiosks in the terminal building.
The airport said that the new service is the latest in a series of improvements for passengers, with previous developments including a short-term car parking facility near the terminal building.
Simon May, commercial manager at London Luton, said: "We have worked hard to reduce waiting times at security for all passengers and improve customer service across the airport.
"However, it is important to offer a choice of services to suit all passengers and we know that some people value being able to guarantee the quickest route to the security search point."
Travellers can catch flights from London Luton Airport to
Barcelona,
Athens,
Paris and other destinations with airlines including
easyJet,
Flybe and
Aer Arann.
