Holidaymakers planning trips to
Florida this year have been given a new accommodation option following the recent opening of a Holiday Inn Express property in
Orlando.
The hotel is the third Holiday Inn Express to open in the
Orlando area this year as part of a major relaunch of the brand.
According to the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the initiative has focused on improving the arrival and welcome services of the chain's properties and enhancing the guestroom and guest bath facilities.
All 3,200 Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express establishments are set to receive a brand overhaul before the end of 2010.
John Merkin, senior vice president of brand management for Holiday Inn in the Americas, said: "Orlando is a crucial market for us as we continue the journey of the Holiday Inn brand relaunch program.
"It's a popular destination for both domestic and international travellers, which provides us with the opportunity to promote the exciting changes happening at Holiday Inn to guests from around the world."
IHG announced on March 6th that it had opened a new Crowne Plaza hotel outside
Chicago.
