VLM confirms flights from London City to Nantes
The network of European services available at London City Airport will be extended this month when VLM Airlines launches new flights to Nantes in France.
Western France will be brought "closer to the heart of London" when the new connection becomes operational on April 27th, according to VLM.
Travellers will be able to make use of two daily flights during the week and one service each day over the weekend.
Business class passengers will be offered extra amenities including increased baggage allowance and newspapers, while economy customers will receive complimentary meals along with coffee, tea and a choice of alcoholic beverages.
Johan Vanneste, managing director of VLM Airlines' London City network, said: "Our award-winning service is well known by travellers using London City Airport and we're pleased to be offering them greater choice with the start of this new route."
According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority, 74 per cent of flights at London City Airport departed on time between October and December last year, representing an improvement of 16 per cent on 2007.
