New Australia driving guide published
Travellers planning trips to Australia this year can make use of a new guide to driving in the Northern Territory.
Tourism NT teamed up with the Northern Territory News to launch the revamped guide, which is available from visitor information centres across the region.
Drive the NT features content designed to encourage visitors to stay longer in the state and includes sections on fishing, hiking, heritage and cultural experiences.
The guide also includes routes that visit the cities of Darwin and Adelaide, as well as attractions such as Ayers Rock and Kakadu National Park.
Tourism NT chief executive Maree Tetlow said: "The Northern Territory has an array of fantastic options for driving holidays and this year the guide provides more content regarding the experiences people can have in the destinations they are driving through.
"The information will enable them to slow down their trip and get more from the places they visit."
Last month, the government of the Northern Territory launched a campaign to encourage more people to take backpacking holidays in Australia.
