Visit Amsterdam for the Holland Festival

Amsterdam will see an influx of visitors in June when it hosts the annual Holland Festival.

Major venues including the Concertgebouw, Oosterpark and the Stadsschouwburg will be involved in this giant celebration of culture, which will come to Amsterdam from June 4th to 28th.

Visitors to The Netherlands' capital city will be able to attend events including a Michelangelo Antonioni retrospective at the Westergasfabriek and a performance by Antony and the Johnsons at the Koninklijk Theater Carre.

Opera lovers should head to the Het Muziektheater from June 15th to 28th to see a production of the classic Bizet work Carmen by the Nederlandse Opera.

Overall, around 80 performances will be presented during the Holland Festival, attracting some 80,000 people to Amsterdam.

The Dutch capital could also prove popular from June 13th to 20th this year when it hosts the Amsterdam Roots festival, an event dedicated to promoting music from around the world.
