New theme park to open in Denmark this month
The national tourist board of Denmark has announced that Legoland Billund Resort, the country's largest amusement park, will open on April 24th.
Located in west Denmark, the new attraction is the result of a combined project involving Legoland and Lalandia, two of the country's biggest and most popular family parks.
Elements of both attractions have been incorporated into the new resort, including Legoland's safari areas and its Miniland zone, where famous landmarks are recreated using millions of Lego bricks.
Visitors to the park will also be able to keep younger guests entertained by heading to Lalandia's Aquadome tropical waterpark and its giant indoor play areas.
There are many other tourist attractions and sites located throughout west Denmark, including Givskud Zoo, the Danfoss Universe science park, Koldinghus castle and plenty of white sandy beaches.
Flights are available to a number of destinations in the Scandinavian country, including Copenhagen, Aalborg and Aarhus.
