New entertainment system on Continental flights to New York
Continental Airlines has made a new inflight entertainment system available to its economy passengers catching flights from Belfast to New York.
The entertainment setup has been available in the airline's business class cabins since early 2007 and has now been extended to economy across the fleet of Boeing 757s that operate the New York service.
Passengers can make use of facilities including a Berlitz World Traveler programme that teaches foreign languages and a selection of 20 video games.
The system, which customers can control themselves, also offers a choice of up to 25 movies, 25 television shows and 50 music CDs.
Barry Jackson, Northern Ireland area sales manager for Continental, said: "Passengers will find this new entertainment experience much more user-friendly.
"Our passengers in BusinessFirst really enjoy the new system and we are sure our economy class passengers will too."
It was recently revealed that Las Vegas, Miami and Orlando are among the most popular onward destinations for leisure passengers accessing US connections via Continental's flights to New York.
