Da Vinci exhibition heads to Singapore
The life and work of the original Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci are to be the focus of a new exhibition due to open in Singapore next month.
Called simply Da Vinci - The Genius, the exhibition will give visitors an insight into the works of the Italian, with a number of his greatest works and most ambitious inventions examined in detail.
Among the highlights will be a look at Renaissance art in general, the sketches and drawings of Da Vinci, 'the secrets of the Mona Lisa', and a general insight into the times in which the artist and engineer lived and worked.
The exhibition will run between May 15th and August 16th at the Science Centre Singapore.
Though mainly visited as part of a stop-over between Australasia and Europe, the island city-state of Singapore boasts a number of top tourist attractions, not least the Raffles Hotel, where visitors can enjoy an authentic Singapore Sling cocktail, while it also plays host to an annual arts festival at its Esplanade centre.
