New coach links to Manchester, Liverpool airports
There are now more transport options open to people catching flights from Manchester Airport and Liverpool Airport with the launch of a new coach service in north-west England.
Airport by Coach has started operating the new connection, which links the airports to both Liverpool and Manchester city centres as well as the towns of Widnes and Warrington.
The service is available hourly throughout the day and night and provides amenities including wireless internet access, reclining seats and air conditioning.
Andrew Dutton of Peel Airports Group, which owns Liverpool Airport, said: "The airport spends a lot of time promoting the use of public transport, but until now many passengers had to travel by car or taxi because public transport services do not operate at times when many need to travel to the airport.
"This new coach service helps to tackle this problem and passengers from throughout the region now have a real alternative."
KLM, easyJet and Virgin Atlantic are among the airlines that offer services from Liverpool and Manchester, flying to destinations including Paris, Rome and New York.
