British Airways will open a new lounge for its premium passengers and top-tier oneworld alliance members at
Heathrow Airport's Terminal 3 on May 11th.
Passengers can take advantage of free wireless internet access in work and entertainment zones in the new facility, as well as a play area for children.
The 300-seat lounge will be used by people travelling from
London to
Barcelona,
Madrid,
Malaga,
Lisbon,
Helsinki and
Vienna.
British Airways customer director Silla Maizey said: "The new and amazingly spacious lounge offers the same fabulous luxury and comfort as the lounge complex in Terminal 5. It will bring the glamour back to Terminal 3."
The airline will open a new 250-seat lounge in Terminal 3 later this year when it transfers
long-haul flights to
Singapore,
Sydney and
Bangkok to the base from Terminal 4.
Earlier this month, British Airways launched a 'buy one get one free' ticket offer on
business class flights that could lead to an increase in its premium passenger numbers between June and October this year.
