Travellers taking
city breaks in
Edinburgh this year can pay a visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience to take part in the attraction's newest tour.
Located at the top of the popular Royal Mile in the Scottish capital, the Scotch Whisky Experience has launched its new tour following a recent £3 million redevelopment.
Visitors can start the tour by going on the updated barrel ride, which offers an introduction to the whisky-making process.
The tour also offers personalised whisky tastings and concludes with a visit to a collection of some 3,384 varieties of Scotch whisky - thought to be the biggest in a world - housed in a new glass vault.
Scotch Whisky Experience general manager Susan Morrison said: "This £3 million investment has created a 21st century experience for visitors that will inspire and enthuse them about Scotch whisky and its importance to Scotland.
"With everything from the sights, sounds and smells in the fantastic new barrel ride, to the stunning new sensory rooms and demonstration area, there is a modern, fresh feel to the whole visitor experience."
