Travellers offered more luxury accommodation in Melbourne
The city of Melbourne in Australia is offering its guests a number of new luxury accommodation options this year.
InterContinental The Rialto opened its doors earlier in the year following a £30 million redevelopment, offering 253 rooms including two luxury turret suites.
Grand Hyatt Melbourne, the largest five-star hotel in the city, also underwent a major refurbishment and now boasts a new facade that provides an entry point to a luxury retail arcade.
The redesign also included the development of an outdoor courtyard as well as new bars and restaurants.
Later this year, the Grand Hyatt Melbourne will launch an extensive room upgrade project, which is scheduled to begin in August.
The newest addition to the Melbourne hospitality industry is the 396-room Hilton South Wharf, which boasts facilities including a restaurant led by a Michelin-starred chef.
Next year, Melbourne is set to become home to the biggest hotel in Australia, which is being developed by Crown Entertainment.
