British Airways confirms new Caribbean flights
British Airways will launch new flights to the Caribbean for its 2009-10 winter season.
The twice-weekly services from London Gatwick to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic will begin on October 25th.
British Airways also announced that it would be increasing frequency to Barbados, Trinidad and St Lucia this year in order to meet increased demand for travel to the Caribbean.
The airline will offer 45 weekly flights to the region - more than any other UK carrier - and serve 13 destinations.
Richard Tams, head of UK and Ireland sales for British Airways, said: "These new routes and increased frequencies underline our commitment to the Caribbean.
"It's a popular destination with our customers and it's due to demand that we're increasing the number of flights to the region."
Other Caribbean destinations that travellers can fly to with British Airways include Antigua, Kingston and Grenada.
