Finnair urges passengers to check in online
Finnair has encouraged its passengers to take full advantage of the benefits offered by online check-in.
The airline pointed out that airports in Finland can become very busy towards the end of May and the beginning of June, particularly at check-in and security inspection points.
Markku Remes, Finnair's representative for passenger experience, encouraged travellers to avoid congestion at the airport by checking in online up to 36 hours before their flight is due to depart.
He also reassured people travelling with unusual baggage such as sports equipment that this can be boarded through the self check-in process.
People flying with Finnair from its hub at Helsinki Vantaa Airport will find the check-in kiosks at departure halls two and three in the second terminal.
The airline operates an extensive international network from Helsinki that includes flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and several other long-haul destinations.
