Oneworld has announced that it is offering free audio books to people travelling in
Europe, regardless of whether they are flying with one of the alliance's member airlines.
The initiative has been introduced at airports in
Brussels and
Milan and will soon be extended to
Rome.
As part of an ongoing promotional campaign in
Belgium and
Italy, oneworld has created a library of around 40 audio books for travellers to download to their laptops, smartphones and other devices for free.
The range of titles available to both arriving and departing passengers includes Dan Brown's Angels and Demons and Barack Obama's Dreams From My Father.
Oneworld commercial director Filip Lemmens said: "The oneworld Travel Library is the latest illustration of the commitment of oneworld and its member airlines to make the most out of our customers' journeys.
"While anyone flying in or out of these airports on any airline can download the audio books for free, we hope this will stimulate them to consider a oneworld member airline next time they fly."
The airline alliance recently announced that it was installing its travel information stations in
Stockholm and
New York.
