Music fans looking forward to a
city break in
New York this year can make use of a new guide to the free and low-cost concerts set to be staged over the coming months.
The guide has been put together by NYC & Company,
New York's official tourism marketing agency, and is available on its
official website.
It is geared towards all ages and tastes, providing information on all manner of concerts and festivals taking place at venues across the city over the next few months.
George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: "The music programs being offered throughout the five boroughs this summer are a wonderful opportunity for artists to share their talent and give back to the community.
"We invite everyone to immerse themselves in the excitement of the shows and support the arts by attending."
Live music events being held in New York over the coming months include Central Park SummerStage, Celebrate Brooklyn and Manhattan's River to River festival.
People interested in visiting these or any other events featured in the new guide can catch flights to New York with carriers including
British Airways,
Virgin Atlantic and
Continental Airlines.
