Singapore Airlines confirms extra flights to Manila
People planning to go travelling in Asia this year will be able to make use of new flights to Manila in the Philippines from Singapore with Singapore Airlines.
The carrier announced that it would add a fourth daily flight to the Philippines capital from July 10th.
Increasing frequency between the two destinations to four daily flights, the change will provide an overall increase of 20 per cent in capacity on the route.
Huang Cheng Eng, executive vice-president of marketing for Singapore Airlines, said: "The frequency increase on this route underscores the strong and growing economic, business and tourism links between Singapore and the Philippines. It also improves the connectivity of Manila to the rest of the world.
"The scheduling of the four services to depart and arrive at various times during the day between the two cities gives our customers more options to choose a flight which better suits their travel needs."
Earlier this month, Singapore Airlines announced plans to deploy the Airbus A380 on its route from Singapore to Hong Kong.
The new service is set to get underway on July 9th.
