Eastern Airways to offer more flights to Aberdeen
Eastern Airways has announced that it will launch additional flights from Southampton Airport to Aberdeen this year.
The regional carrier confirmed that it would increase its current frequency on the route from the current three flights each weekday to five from July 6th.
Business and leisure travellers are expected to benefit from the additional services to Aberdeen from Southampton Airport, which are being introduced in response to high demand.
Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, said: "Our services between Southampton and Aberdeen have proved extremely popular and we're increasing the number of flights on the route to meet demand.
"With Aberdeen being one of Europe's busiest oil centres, there [have] been strong industry links in the energy sector between both regions for many years and our new schedules are tailored to suit business and leisure travellers' needs."
The announcement of the extra flights to Aberdeen follows the recent confirmation from Eastern Airways that it will launch a new service to Liverpool from Southampton Airport on July 6th.
This route will be served by three flights in both directions every weekday.
