Sports fans will be arranging flights to Poland this summer as a major cycling tour takes place across the country.
The Tour de Pologne will get underway in Warsaw on August 2nd and reach its conclusion in Krakow six days later.
Destinations such as Lublin and Rzeszow, as well as the Tatra mountains and the winter resort of Zakopane, will feature on the tour route, which covers a total of 1,253km.
Thousands of competitors and fans are expected to visit Poland for the 2009 Tour de Pologne.
Ewa Binkin, acting director of the Polish National Tourist Office, said: "This is a great event for Poland and the atmosphere at the start of the race in Warsaw and on the finishing line in Krakow will be wonderful. There's also the chance to see the cyclists tackle the Tatras in a wonderfully scenic setting.
"The Tour de Pologne is really important in our sporting calendar and has been a regular fixture for the past 80 years. It'll certainly be a very exciting week to visit Poland."
Flights to Krakow, Warsaw and other destinations in Poland are provided by several carriers, including British Airways, Czech Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.
