Live music returns to San Francisco Airport
San Francisco Airport will once again provide some live musical entertainment for its passengers this year with the return of the 'You Are Hear' series.
Getting underway on June 19th, the live music season will see performances held in the airport up to August 28th.
All sorts of musical styles are performed for the entertainment of people passing through the US hub, from jazz and R&B to Brazilian samba and classical.
Airport director John L Martin said: "An airport is usually an unlikely setting for listening to live music, but it is a surprise and delight when our passengers discover the bands playing.
"Everyone slows down, smiles and starts tapping their feet to the music. It's a wonderful summer treat and a great way to give travellers a glimpse of what San Francisco has to offer."
San Francisco Airport hosts flights to more than 30 international destinations and 65 cities in the US. It is served by airlines including Virgin Atlantic, Aer Lingus and British Airways.
