Heathrow Express, the company that operates trains from central
London to
Heathrow Airport, has once again been named the leading rail operator in the
UK.
In the independent National Passenger Survey, carried out by consumer watchdog Passenger Focus, Heathrow Express achieved a score of 92 per cent for overall customer satisfaction.
The rail connection carries more than 16,000 passengers to Heathrow Airport every day and reportedly removes one million cars from the road.
Heathrow Express has now been running for more than ten years and describes its service as "the fastest and most reliable way" to get from the centre of
London to the UK's biggest airport.
Richard Robinson, managing director of the company, said: "In this UK survey Heathrow Express has consistently delivered the top scores. To perform this well year after year is exceptional, but we are not resting on our laurels.
"Over the coming months we are introducing significant enhancements to our service which will demonstrate that Heathrow Express is an evolving brand."
Heathrow Express services depart from Paddington station every 15 minutes.
