British Airways has confirmed that it will launch extra flights to
Istanbul,
Turkey and
Warsaw,
Poland this year.
In further changes to its winter network for 2009-10, the airline will increase its frequency of services to both these destinations to three daily flights from
Heathrow Airport on October 25th.
There will also be adjustments to British Airways' range of flights to
Rome, with frequency from
Heathrow Airport being increased from five to six services a day and the number of flights from
Gatwick Airport dropping to one a day.
Richard Tams, head of UK and Ireland sales for the airline, said: "We're pleased to be offering increased frequencies to these European destinations.
"It's in response to demand and the additional flights to Warsaw have been timed to make it easier for our customers to connect to our long-haul operation."
Europe is not the only region that will be served by extra British Airways services this winter, with additional flights to
Trinidad and Tobago,
Barbados and
St Lucia also being launched.
