EasyJet confirms new flights to Tel Aviv
EasyJet will expand its international network into the Middle East later this year with the launch of new flights to Tel Aviv in Israel from Luton Airport.
Scheduled to begin on November 2nd, the new route will represent the first service between London and Tel Aviv provided by a low-cost airline.
Travellers will be able to choose from six weekly flights operating every day except Friday.
Andy Harrison, chief executive of easyJet, said: "This is a major breakthrough. For the first time the traveling public in the London area has the choice between a high-cost traditional airline and a low-cost alternative.
"We look forward to bringing our unique blend of low fares with friendly service to a whole new market."
As well as expanding into Israel, easyJet will increase its operations in Morocco in November with the launch of new flights to Agadir from Gatwick Airport.
Earlier this month, the airline announced that it will be launching 15 new routes across Europe over the winter, including new flights from UK airports to Sharm el Sheikh, Lanzarote and other holiday hotspots.
