Autumn 'the perfect time to visit Croatia'
The early autumn period from September to October is the ideal time to pay a visit to Croatia, a travel expert has claimed.
Visnja Arambasesc, editor of the In Your Pocket guide to Croatia, said that all locations in Dalmatia are "great to visit in September and October".
Dalmatia is a region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, chiefly located in Croatia but also covering parts of Montenegro.
Travellers interested in visiting the region can catch flights to popular coastal destinations in Croatia such as Split and Dubrovnik.
Describing the appeal of the area in September and October, Ms Arambasesc said: "The weather is most pleasant during the period of Indian summer - the sea still has a good temperature, it's not so hot during the day and still there are quite a lot of cultural happenings."
The editor went on to say that the early autumn months are the only time one can really see Dalmatia "in its full beauty".
Flights to Dubrovnik, Split and other destinations in Croatia are provided by carriers such as British Airways, Croatia Airlines and easyJet.
