Development project complete at Leeds-Bradford Airport
A major redevelopment project taking place at Leeds-Bradford Airport was completed yesterday (July 16th), it has been announced.
The scheme included a number of access improvements for bus and airport shuttle services, a new drop-off and pick-up zone for car passengers and a taxi booking point that is located in a more convenient position.
Pedestrian walkways have also been enhanced as part of the redevelopment, along with the airport's short-stay car park.
Leeds-Bradford Airport is planning to invest a total of £28 million in various improvements to provide "state-of-the-art" facilities and an enhanced experience for travellers.
Tony Hallwood, the airport's aviation development director, said: "We are delighted that development has been completed ahead of the busy summer season. Our aim is to offer customers modern facilities which allow them quick and easy access to and from the terminal.
"We are determined to continue to improve the quality of services we provide to our passengers and our ongoing investment will deliver a significant enhancement to terminal facilities."
KLM and bmi are among the airlines based at Leeds-Bradford Airport, offering flights to Amsterdam, Brussels and other destinations.
