Musical Theatre Festival to be held in New York
City breaks in New York could prove popular with musical theatre fans this autumn as the city hosts a festival dedicated to the art form.
The New York Musical Theatre Festival is held every year to encourage new people to attend the theatre and also to support emerging creative talent.
A number of venues around the city will participate in the festival this year, which will run from September 28th to October 18th.
The Manhattan Movement and Arts Center will host Andy Warhol Was Right, which explores the subjects of fame and celebrity, while the Theater at St Clements will stage Mexican pop opera Anjou, A Tale of Horror.
People visiting New York this autumn will be able to see several other full productions across the city, as well as dance performances, music concerts and other special events.
Another popular cultural activity in the city is a visit to the Broadway theatre district, where visitors can see shows including Mamma Mia!, Billy Elliott and Wicked.
More information on the New York Musical Theatre Festival is available on the event's official website.
