Etihad Airways has revealed that its winter 2009-10 schedule will feature a wider range of flights and improved connections.
Getting underway on October 25th, the flying programme is set to be almost 15 per cent more extensive than the previous year, with some 950 flights operating each week.
Highlights of the 2009-10 winter season will include new flights to
Hyderabad in
India, as well as extra services to
Athens,
Istanbul,
Cairo and
Beirut.
Etihad chief executive James Hogan said: "The winter programme for 2009-10 demonstrates our commitment to provide greater depth to the Etihad Airways global flight network.
"The increased frequencies will provide air travellers with a greater choice of flights into and out of Abu Dhabi and better connectivity with the rest of our network."
The winter period will see Etihad take delivery of three new Airbus A320 aircraft, which will support its frequency increases throughout
Europe, the
Middle East and
Asia.
July 2009 was the busiest month in the
Abu Dhabi-based airline's history, with more than 616,000 passengers using its services.
