New hotel opened on Dead Sea
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new property on the Dead Sea, which is its second Holiday Inn establishment in Jordan.
The Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea offers "excellent value" combined with the "reliability, friendly service and modern facilities" for which the brand is known, according to the company.
Guests will be accommodated in 78 rooms and 128 chalets at the new property, which is located a couple of minutes' walk away from the shores of the Dead Sea.
Amenities at the hotel include a choice of restaurants and lounges, sports facilities and the longest swimming pool on the Dead Sea coast.
John Bamsey, IHG's chief operating officer in the Middle East and Africa, said: "We already have a strong presence in Jordan, so it was a natural decision to extend our portfolio to one of the kingdom's most popular tourist sites.
"Holiday Inn is one of the world's most recognised hotel brands and it is an ideal fit for Jordan's evolving tourism market."
Travellers can catch flights to Amman, the capital of Jordan, with Royal Jordanian, bmi, Turkish Airlines and other carriers.
