Manchester Airport nominated for customer service awards
Manchester Airport is among the nominated companies in three sections of the 2009 National Customer Service Awards.
The north-west gateway is entering the awards for the first time this year and will be competing against organisations from several different industries.
It has been shortlisted in categories rewarding the best use of technology, the 'front line' customer service team of the year and the young customer service professional of the year.
Manchester Airport said that the nominations are a result of its "continued dedication to putting the customer first".
Sarah Barrett, head of customer experience at the base, said: "It is great that we have become finalists in key areas of our customer service especially as it is the first year we have entered these awards.
"This announcement shows a positive move towards us becoming a more customer-focused business and that we are dedicated to providing first-class service to our customers and it is brilliant that we have been recognised for this commitment."
Travellers can catch flights to Dubai, New York, Paris, Venice and several other destinations from Manchester Airport.
