Qantas, Sony shoot adverts in Western Australia
The "extraordinary landscapes" of Western Australia (WA) feature in new advertising campaigns being launched by the international brands Qantas and Sony.
Tourism Western Australia announced that the Qantas promotion went live in August, while Sony will film on location in the Pinnacles, a distinctive limestone formation, this week.
The electronics company will launch a multimedia campaign all over the globe that will also include shots of Venice, Iguazu Falls in Argentina, destinations in South Africa and other settings.
Stephanie Buckland, marketing director for Tourism Western Australia, said: "WA has some truly beautiful locations, places that can be found nowhere else on the planet.
"It is a thrill seeing these unique WA images alongside shots of Paris and London."
The Qantas campaign features destinations including Cape Leveque, El Questro and the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park, which is listed as a Unesco World Heritage site.
Qantas provides flights to Perth, the capital of Western Australia, from Heathrow Airport via Singapore and Hong Kong.
