Scotland warms up for St Andrews Festival
People with an interest in Scottish culture will have the opportunity to catch flights to Dundee or Edinburgh in November to attend the St Andrews Festival.
The event, which will be held in the town of St Andrews from November 28th to 30th, will provide the finale for the Homecoming Scotland programme, which began on January 25th, also known as Burns Night.
Visitors will be able to see a 'Son et Lumiere' light installation, watch a torch-lit procession and listen to medieval, traditional and modern music.
On St Andrew's Day itself, November 30th, there will be a celebratory fireworks show, an outdoor ceilidh in the town centre and a ceremony to switch on the Christmas lights.
Rob Murray Brown, organiser of the festival, told VisitScotland: "We're very pleased with this year's festival line-up and are hoping to delight visitors from across Scotland and beyond with our celebration of Scotland's music, culture and history.
"The Son et Lumiere promises to be stunning and the programme of events is comprehensively of a high standard."
People interested in visiting Scotland for the festival can catch flights to Edinburgh with bmi or fly to Dundee with Flybe.
