Celebrity chef Rick Stein will open a new seafood restaurant in the state of New South Wales,
Australia this month, it has been announced.
Travellers will be able to head to the town of Mollymook on the coast, south of
Sydney, to visit the Bannisters restaurant, which is part of a luxury lodge.
Due to open this month, the eatery will offer a menu incorporating local Australian ingredients and combining them with various types of seafood.
Stein is a recognisable figure for Brits having appeared on several food shows in the UK. He has also written 19 cookbooks and owns the Seafood Restaurant in Cornwall.
Travellers visiting
Australia in the future will also have the opportunity to eat at the Charcoal Lane restaurant in
Melbourne, which is based on a similar concept to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen chain.
The establishment on Gertrude Street provides opportunities for Aboriginal and disadvantaged young people and invites diners to try dishes such as lemon myrtle fish bites and dry-aged porterhouse with pepperberry tapenade.
