New flights to Warsaw welcomed in Poland
The Polish National Tourist Office (PNTO) has welcomed the new flights to Warsaw that are set to be introduced by Aer Lingus this weekend.
From October 25th, travellers will be able to catch daily flights to Poland's capital city from Gatwick Airport with the airline.
The PNTO said that it is "delighted" that the additional services are being launched, adding that the connection will put Poland "on the doorstep of thousands of British holidaymakers".
Bogdan Becla, acting director of the tourist board, said: "It's really great news that Aer Lingus is scheduling flights seven days a week between London and Warsaw, which makes it even easier for people to visit Poland.
"While this new route gives people more opportunities to holiday in Poland, it also reflects the popularity of our country, which is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world."
Aer Lingus will serve several destinations from Gatwick Airport this winter, with flights to Malaga, Lanzarote, Faro and Tenerife all available to travellers.
Those planning a city break over the coming months will be able to travel to Vienna, Munich, Bucharest and Vilnius with the airline.
