Holidaymakers looking to take breaks in
Las Vegas will be delighted to hear that
British Airways is launching a new flight to the capital of glitz.
A daily flight is expected to run between
Heathrow Airport and
Las Vegas, which is the 19th destination to be served by the airline.
Willie Walsh, chief executive of BA, told Travel Weekly: "This is not a temporary downturn in business traffic. Short-haul business travel volumes will not come back. It is a structural change."
He added: "Premium leisure has been remarkably resilient. It has been a strong segment over the last two years and continues to be strong."
The Boeing 777 can carry up to 214 standard ticket holders as well as 36 Club World and 24 World Traveller Plus passengers.
Club World seats fold into full-length beds to maximise comfort on the long-haul flights.
Previously, BA unveiled plans to launch flights to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
