Singapore hotel gets makeover
The Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre has been given a brand new look following a S$25 million (£10.8 million) makeover.
Taking its lead from the brand's global relaunch, the eight-storey property has carried out a complete overhaul of its guest rooms, restaurants, bars and public areas.
Some 319 rooms are available in the hotel, overlooking the gardens of the Istana palace and offering high-tech facilities including a 37-inch LCD television, DVD players and an iPod docking station.
Visitors can also go for a swim in the hotel pool or make use of the latest equipment in the gym, which is located within the landscaped roof garden.
Commenting on the revamp, general manager Shantha de Silva said: "We have retained the relaxed intimate ambience that helps us to continue achieving the very high customer satisfaction ratings that we are renowned for.
"The relaunched Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre will be a perfect fit for the needs of today's guest: to enjoy the energy of Orchard Road and a restful, comfortable environment in which to recharge."
Flights to Singapore are available with carriers including Singapore Airlines, British Airways and Turkish Airlines.
