People 'will flock to Courchevel this winter'
Many people will be heading to Courchevel for skiing holidays this season as the upcoming Salvador Dali exhibition will attract travellers to the culture, an expert has claimed.
Véronique Beulz, head of marketing and promotion at Courchevel Tourisme, said that the new art exhibition will bring lots of people to the ski destination, which has a great reputation as a winter sports location.
She added: "People will come to see the amazing sculptures. We are always trying to be different as a ski destination with our animation and our events."
Once they have seen the Dali exhibition, visitors will not be disappointed, as the expert said that the winter will see polo tournaments, an ice skating gala and fireworks.
First-time skiers will also find that it is an ideal location, as a new beginners area has been created, ideal for children and adults who are getting their ski legs.
The Ski Club of Great Britain said that 1.27 million people are now involved in the snowsports market, with France still being the most popular destination for skiers.
