New attractions to be unveiled in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has announced details of a number of new attractions and experiences that will be introduced in the city next year.
Sports fans will find something to interest them during city breaks in February when the so-called Entertainment Capital of the World hosts the USA Sevens rugby tournament.
Set to take place at the Sam Boyd Stadium, the event will feature some of the world's leading rugby sevens teams, including England, South Africa and New Zealand.
There will also be plenty of musical entertainment on offer next year, with country music star Garth Brooks due to perform a series of concerts at Wynn Las Vegas from December 11th.
Another cultural icon, Elvis Presley, will be the subject of a new Cirque du Soleil show opening at a custom-made theatre at the Aria Resort and Hotel in January.
Arguably the biggest addition of all to the city's tourism industry next year will be the CityCenter Resort on the Strip, which will feature a new casino, a hotel, restaurants and other amenities.
British Airways recently launched flights to Las Vegas from Heathrow Airport and Virgin Atlantic serves the destination from Gatwick Airport.
