Turkey and Egypt 'will be popular destinations next year'
More people are likely to travel to Turkey and Egypt next year due to the "pull of eastern promise" which appeals to Brits, an expert has claimed.
Sharron Livingston, editor at TheTravelMagazine.net, which offers holiday advice, said that the area has always been appealing to UK holidaymakers.
"These destinations often offer great value for money and as long as they do, Brits will keep on visiting," she added.
The expert said that more people are also looking for active and cultural breaks for their holiday so they feel that have done something worthwhile.
"Travellers look for something a little different," Ms Livingston said, adding that it makes for great dinner conversation.
Recent research from villa company CV Travel found that interest has risen for holidays in Turkey, Egypt and Morocco.
It also found that more people want holidays which incorporate learning a skill or culture, to get a more fulfilling travel experience.
