Japan Airlines passengers departing from London's
Heathrow Airport will soon be able to make use of British Airways' (BA) Galleries First and Galleries Club lounges.
Those flying from Terminal 3 will be able to use the lounges, which are located near the departure gates and shopping area, from December 14th.
Passengers eligible to use the lounges can make use of their shower rooms, business centre and wireless internet facilities.
The service is being offered to passengers thanks to Japan Airlines' code share agreement with BA.
This codeshare also applies to passengers flying to Japan from five cities in the UK including
Manchester and
Edinburgh.
Japan Airlines has said that customers will now benefit from smoother transfers now that oneworld member airlines all operate from Heathrow's Terminal 3 or 5.
The carrier is Asia's largest airline in terms of operating revenue, and offers flights to 30 cities in
Europe from
Japan.
Earlier this year, Conde Nast Traveler presented Japan Airlines with its World Savers Award thanks to its social responsibility efforts.
