Travellers looking for a city break with a difference and taking flights to
Zagreb are now able to benefit from an 'all in one' discount card for tourists.
Following the lead of a number of top cities, including
Paris and
New York, tourist authorities in the popular Croatian capital have announced the launch of the Zagreb Card, the Croatian Times reported.
The cards, which are valid for either 24 or 72 hours, not only allow visitors to enjoy unlimited travel on the city's public transport, but also enables them to benefit from significant discounts at numerous restaurants and shops, as well as at some of Croatia's leading tourist sites.
Visitors to the city have the option of either picking up their card at any Zagreb Tourist Information Centre, or purchasing one online before they take their flight to Zagreb.
Tourist highlights of the Croatian capital include the Museum of Technology, the Archaeological Museum and the famous Croatian National Theatre, which was opened by the Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria in 1895.
