Virgin Atlantic opens new Clubhouse lounge at Gatwick Airport
Holidaymakers and business travellers taking Virgin Atlantic flights to Barbados or other top Caribbean destinations from London Glasgow Airport are now able to access the airline's revamped Clubhouse lounge.
Following a complete refit and refurbishment, the 795-square foot facility now offers a variety of luxury services for business and Club class passengers.
Notably, these include the new Cowshed Spa, which offers a variety of treatments, including massages, manicures and pedicures, while the lounge is now also home to a relaxing Rock Garden.
Opening the facility, Virgin Atlantic chief executive Steve Ridgeway explained that the Clubhouse offers the "ultimate pre-flight experience" for Upper Class and Gold Card customers taking flights to the Caribbean.
"Our award-winning Clubhouses have always led the industry by offering luxury and innovation, and now we have introduced some of the best elements of our flagship Heathrow Clubhouse, such as the luxurious Cowshed spa, at Gatwick," he said.
As well as Barbados, Virgin Atlantic flies out of Gatwick to Antigua, Havana, St Lucia and Tobago, as well as to Las Vegas and Orlando in the US.
