Bus sightseeing tour launched in Abu Dhabi
Travellers visiting Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, can now see more of the city courtesy of a new open-top bus tour.
All of the destination's most popular sights and landmarks feature on the route, from the traditional souks and Heritage Village to the Emirates Palace Hotel and the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.
Tourists can pick up 24-hour tickets online, from hotels or at the Bug Bus sales desk in Marina Hall, which allow passengers to hop on and off the buses at their leisure.
The service is provided by the Big Bus Company, which has operated tours in London since 1991 and Dubai since 2002.
Chris Compton, general manager of the firm, said: "We are all very excited about this latest addition to the Big Bus family. Development in Abu Dhabi at the moment is phenomenal as the city works hard to establish itself on the global tourism map.
"The route takes in all of the sights and attractions of this fascinating city and as the city expands, we will grow with it to make sure that all the new sights of Abu Dhabi are included."
Tours run daily between 09:00 and 17:00 local time and feature an audio commentary in eight languages including English, Arabic, French and German.
