New InterContinental hotel opens in Paris
Travellers visiting Paris now have more accommodation options to choose from following the opening of the second InterContinental hotel in the city.
The InterContinental Paris Avenue Marceau is situated in the heart of France's capital, close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees.
It has 55 rooms and is located in three historic buildings from different periods in the city's history.
Didier Boidin, InterContinental Hotels Group's (IHG) vice president of operations in France, said the new property offers a smaller alternative to the InterContinental Paris Le Grand.
He added: "Visitors now have a choice of either the Opera view from InterContinental Paris Le Grand or the Arc de Triomphe view from InterContinental Paris Avenue Marceau.
"Opening our second InterContinental hotel in Paris is testament to the strength and appeal of the brand. We're looking forward to welcoming international business and leisure travellers to the hotel."
IHG has a total of 28 hotels in Paris and 63 properties in France operating under one of its seven brands, including Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.
