Flybe offering extra capacity for Eurostar passengers
Flybe has revealed that it will be offering extra capacity on its flights to Paris over the coming days to help passengers affected by the cancellation of Eurostar services.
The airline laid on larger aircraft on its links from Birmingham Airport and Southampton Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle and will offer more space on a further four services today (December 22nd).
Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer of Flybe, claimed the carrier is "pulling out all the stops" to help travellers reach their destinations.
He added: "Flybe is committed to ensuring that as many stranded Eurostar passengers as possible are able to complete their journeys.
"It is especially important at this time of the year when people are travelling to be with friends and loved ones over the festive period."
Eurostar called off all of its high-speed rail services for three days over the weekend after cold weather conditions in France and England caused some of its trains to break down.
The company has resumed a limited service today as it attempts to clear a backlog of tens of thousands of passengers.
